Suggested verbiage for your communications.  Your name and address must be included for consideration by your legislator:

I am writing to you to inform you that the Consistency, Accuracy, Responsibility and Excellence in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (CARE Bill), HR 2104 was introduced in the U.S House of Representatives on June 2. This bill would require minimum federal competency standards for persons performing medical imaging and radiation therapy.  Quality, safety and cost-effective medical imaging and radiation therapy are are the heart of this proposed legislation.  The CARE legislation would save millions in Medicare dollars if properly trained individuals perform these vital services correctly, without needless repetition of studies and treatments, and so addtional Medicare dollars spent.  It would also prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation, a major health care concern highlighted in the national media  Please contact Taylor Booth in Representative Whitfield’s office today to add your name to HR 2104’s cosponsor list.   Thank you for your consideration.

Act today so the CARE Bill is passed this year!
